Long update on what is going on in the land of Henry starting with a little bit before break.
I originally had an interview on Thursday morning but the company/research organization decided the day before to cancel. While this could be a good thing or a bad thing, it did allow me to go to the gym for a bit over an hour and 20 minutes. Definitely a good way to start the day, especially since I dropped by bags off in my office the night before and didn’t have to carry anything to school. Class, Class studying for a test later, arguing with a very very stupid TA, interview with them (which didn’t go well btw) followed by a test which I also didn’t do well in, probably because of the failed job interview that got out 20 minutes before the test.
JM and MC cajoled me into going out to a couple of bars that night, which definitely helped things out a lot. Saw some people I hadn’t seen in a few weeks and met some interesting characters.
Friday wakeup call at 7am for a ride to the train station…decided not to go at that point, but could I drive him to the TS at 12…definitely cause at that point I wasn’t really sure where my keys were. Flash forward, 30 minutes of frantic packing and im off to Concord for break.
Saturday. Decided to abuse the parents and made the mother buy me a one week membership at her club. Been doing a little over two hours there every day since. Good news is the amount I’m lifting is definitely going up, and my pulse rate is plunging like a dead bird from the sky. The Protein/get-rid-of-the-carbs kick I am currently on is producing some results I’m just sad that I have to go back to the crappiness of Syracuse gym equipment after being holed up in a 11k sq. ft private club.
Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. Lots fucking reading and of course the two hours at the gym. The eye candy is definitely not as good as Syracuse, but then again what college student can afford to purchase a $2000 membership at a club? Certainly not moi, if not for the ‘rents already being members. Upped the weight and added more time for cardio.
The dietary supplements are doing their work. Will continue to take them. On a side note I made some calls and was sort of expecting some return calls which never really materialized, but thats an update for another time.
